Bwin.party's revamped PartyPoker goes live
Operator's redesigned poker product goes live on desktop and mobile platforms

Bwin.party’s revamped PartyPoker product is now live, as the operator looks to turn around its fortunes following disappointing financial results.
The new poker offering has been in the making for over a year since bwin.party announced its intentions merge bwin and PartyPoker in an attempt to reverse its poker offering’s declining performance.
Bwin.party has added a redesigned landing page, new logo and a 1-Click lobby which it claims is “unique to PartyPoker.com”. The offering also includes a range of social features, such as missions and achievements, which the company said marked “a significant first step in the integration of social features into the real money gaming environment”.
The new version of PartyPoker is currently available on both Mac and PC desktop versions, and also as a mobile app on Android and iOS devices for cash games only with the launch of tournaments planned for the near future.
The Gibraltar-based firm had recently announced its intentions to re-launch its PartyPoker product after the release of its H1 financial results last week. However, according to eGaming Review’s latest poll, a significant proportion of readers believe the revamped product offering may have come too late.
In June, PartyPoker was overtaken by 888poker in the PokerScout rankings for the first time with the pair now positioned fifth and fourth respectively.
In its recent financial results, the operator posted a 16% decline in H1 revenues and a 34% fall in EBITDA which it said were below expectations after its strategic shift from “volume to value”. The operator’s revenues for the six-month period ending 30 June 2013 fell year-on-year to 342.5m from 410m.
