Bwin in betting terminal deal with Catalan operator
Operator will trial betting terminals for Grup Solplay at shops and bars in Valencia.

Bwin.party has agreed a deal with Grup Solplay whereby its bwin brand will operate self-service betting terminals for the Catalan operator.
Solplay, predominantly a gaming machines operator in the autonomous region, will expand into Valencia on a trial basis for an unspecified amount of time.
The initial 10 outlets will be bwin-branded and operate under a licence held by Solplay subsidiary Solwin Valencia, and eGaming Review understands that the partners will roll out a number of gaming machines in bars and shops in the region.
A spokesman for bwin.party explained to eGR: “This is on a trial basis at the moment, and we will be looking to potentially put up to 25 of these terminals in shops, and also trying them in bars and restaurants.”
He added that it is too early to speculate on any future plans for the relationship between the two companies until the trial period comes to an end.
Solplay currently has no online presence and operates solely in Cataluña where it has approximately 4,500 gaming machines in circulation.
Bwin currently sponsors Spanish football club Real Madrid in a deal which runs until the end of the 2012-13 season, while it held broadcast rights for Spain’s top two football leagues in 80 countries until this summer.
Under the terms of its Spanish operating licences, bwin.party offers online poker, bingo, roulette, sports betting and blackjack, under the bwin, PartyPoker and Binguez brands, following the payment of a 33m back-tax bill in May.
