Catena Media appoints new M&A chief
Andreas Ericson joins the acquisition-hungry affiliate in head of M&A role from mobile provider Telenor

Catena Media has appointed Andreas Ericson as its new head of M&A.
Ericson has made the switch to the acquisition-hungry affiliate firm from mobile phone operator Telenor, where he was responsible for transactions across the US, Asia and Europe.
Prior to that, Ericson worked at international digital entertainment group MTG for seven years where he helped build the company into a Nasdaq-listed e-commerce powerhouse.

“With affiliates becoming increasingly present in consumers’ digital lives, Catena Media has some really exiting years ahead,” said Ericson, who has an MSc from Copenhagen Business School.
Catena said Ericson’s experience and expertise will provide invaluable help to the group when selecting future acquisitions in new markets and verticals.
“I came on board because Catena Media is at an extremely interesting juncture between a start-up and large, established company,” added Ericson.
“We have the culture, drive and momentum of a start-up, as well as a large company’s smooth-running operations, scalability and ability to grow organically.”
Catena sealed the €16m purchase of Italian sports betting news company ASAP ITALIA in June.
