Catena Media CEO leaves with immediate effect
Robert Andersson departs with board of directors moving to appoint acting CEO Henrik Persson Ekdahl

Catena Media CEO Robert Andersson has left his position with immediate effect, the super-affiliate announced Tuesday evening.
The firm said Henrik Persson Ekdahl would take over as acting CEO, after the board of directors initiated the change in order to “fulfil its strategy, continue growth and increase shareholder value”.
Andersson will be paid an amount equal to six months in accordance with his employment contract and a severance payment of an additional six months’ salary.
Ekdahl has broad international experience in the gambling industry, having previously led Betsafe and Betsson Group as CEO and will assume his new role with immediate effect.

Robert Andersson to leave role as Catena Media CEO
Chairwoman of Catena Media Kathryn Moore Baker said: “Catena Media has been through several growth stages in a short period of time.
“Robert Andersson’s assignment was to take the company through an IPO and later to introduce it to Nasdaq Stockholm’s main market, which he did with great results.
“Now, a new phase starts, which marks a new era in Catena Media’s success going forward and we are very pleased that Henrik Persson Ekdahl will take over as acting CEO.
“It sets the tone for what we want to achieve in the future and we will continue with our strong growth strategy and look for a permanent CEO in due time.”
In his last interview with EGR as Catena Media CEO on Tuesday, Andersson revealed the company was still working closely with operators who have publicly announced the cancellation of their affiliate partnerships.
“We remain working with all of the operators that have gone out [of affiliate programmes],” he said.
“We are fully compliant and so still work with Sky, 888 and Ladbrokes for that matter, so for us, this is a good thing- we have a great relationship with all three of them.”
