
Checkd Group appoints new finance director
Manchester-based affiliate looks to internal talent once again by promoting Sam Turnock to the senior role


Checkd Group has promoted Sam Turnock to become the digital marketing agency and affiliate’s new finance director as the firm continues to eye US growth.
Turnock originally joined the Manchester-based business in June 2019 as a financial controller.
During his time with the firm, Turnock played a key role in the launch of Checkd Group’s US-facing sports betting community site, FlashPicks, and the acquisition of 10 state licences on CPA arrangements.
He will now step up to oversee the business intelligence area of the organisation, while managing the group’s finance across its Checkd Media, Checkd Dev and Checkd International arms.
Touching on his promotion, Turnock said: “I am incredibly proud to be taking on the role of finance director at a time when the group is experiencing such dynamic growth.
“Checkd Group is in the strongest position in its history; with an experienced team driving our strategic initiatives forward, we are very well-positioned for considerable further growth,” he added.

Turnock’s appointment follows a trio of internal promotion at the firm in the last 8 months, including Will Tyrrell, Callum Broxton and Alan Davey.
