Cherry eyes B2B push with new tech innovation arm
Malta-based XCaliber business to provide gaming technology services to the industry, headed by Cherry CTO Dario Arruda

Cherry has launched a dedicated B2B technology business, bringing to market its gaming platform and technology services to further diversify the firm’s revenue streams.
The new XCaliber business area will see Cherry offer its tracking software tool Omarsys, payments and fraud aggregator system and gaming platform to B2B partners for the first time.
Headquartered in Malta with a supporting tech team in Poland, XCaliber will be headed by Cherry’s current group CTO Dario Arruda, who will assume the role of CEO for the business.
Cherry said it has “invested heavily” in talent to build its in-house system infrastructure and platform, based on the most recent and future-facing technologies.
“We know our tools and infrastructure are market-leading propositions and we’re thrilled that we can now share them with the rest of the industry,” Jonas Wåhlander, CEO of Cherry iGaming, said.
“XCaliber will continue to generate direct and incremental value to Cherry iGaming’s brands, as well as for incumbent and future business partners.”
Cherry reported a 39% rise in Q3 online gaming revenues, benefiting from an increase in marketing spend and a strong mobile performance.
The company’s gaming development arm, Yggdrasil Gaming, saw its revenues grow by 299% during the three-month period to SEK 21m (£1.8m).
