Codere strikes major trading deal with Betgenius
Operator strengthens pre-match and in-play capabilities as it looks to ramp-up exposure in regulated markets

Spanish gaming giant Codere has signed a major deal with sports betting supplier Betgenius as the operator looks to strengthen its sportsbook product and increase exposure in regulated markets.
As part of the deal, Betgenius will supply Codere with its automated pre-match and in-play trading tools, and in turn become the operator’s primary global trading supplier.
The deal has been dubbed “long-term” with Betgenius’ prices to be fed to Codere’s online and retail offerings in markets such as Spain, Italy and Latin America.
Codere trading director Peter Lucas described Betgenius as the “obvious choice”.
“As we grow our presence in regulated markets across the world, we are delighted to secure a long-term relationship with Betgenius to expand our in-play and pre-match trading capabilities,” Lucas said.
The deal adds to Betgenius’ list of recent client wins, which also include OPAP, Snai and Sky Bet Italia, and the supplier’s business development director, Matt Stephenson, said he was “proud” to work with Codere.
“Codere is an operator of the highest calibre and Betgenius is hugely proud to be selected as its primary provider of trading services,” Stephenson said.
“This partnership is a great example of our flexible and bespoke service in action, and we look forward to being a vital part in its future success.”
News of the deal was released just hours before Betgenius picked up the Innovation in Sports Betting Software prize at last night’s EGR B2B Awards in London.
