Codere signs Real Madrid sponsorship deal
Spanish operator becomes official betting partner of one of the world's biggest football clubs

Codere has signed a landmark three-year betting partnership deal with Spanish football club Real Madrid as the land-based giant looks to grow its online offering.
Real Madrid this afternoon unveiled Codere Apuestas as the club’s official betting partner until 2019, filling a void created by bwin’s decision to not continue its long-held betting partnership with the club.
Codere, which last season held a similar deal with Real Madrid’s Spanish rivals Valencia, will receive in-stadium advertising as well as a presence on Real Madrid’s official website.
The deal is also expected to benefit Codere’s international operations with Real Madrid’s global reach likely to boost the operator’s land-based businesses in countries such as Italy, Brazil, Mexico, Uruguay and Argentina.
Codere is one of the biggest land-based operators in Spain and prior to online gambling regulation in 2012 launched a series of legal actions against unlicensed online operators.
The firm first offered online sports betting via codere.es in 2014 and this year launched a brand new website incorporating a wider selection of in-play markets and casino games.
