Coral targets Euro 2020 punters in Matchday Rewards campaign
Entain-owned bookmaker debuts TV ad and launches podcast alongside expert panel of former footballers

Coral has launched a new Matchday Rewards campaign to reward punters placing bets during Euro 2020.
The campaign allows customers to collect matchday stamps throughout the tournament to receive rewards based on loyalty. Customers collect a matchday stamp via the Coral app which, once unlocked, rewards them with a free £5 bet for every three days they have wagered on the action.
The ‘3 Big Days’ campaign includes a 30-second TV advert aired throughout the competition, which is being held right across Europe through June and July.

The ad depicts a football fan watching three matches over the course of three days while unlocking the matchday stamps by placing bets.
Print, online and radio ads also feature as part of the campaign for the Entain-owned bookmaker.
In addition, Coral has assembled a panel of 24 football experts or one from each qualifying nation, including Alan Shearer (England), Ally McCoist (Scotland) and Dean Saunders (Wales), as well as several football journalists, who will provide in-depth analysis on every team and match.
Coral is also continuing its partnership with JOE Media and has commissioned seven ‘All To Play For’ podcasts during the tournament hosted by ex-Chelsea and England star Joe Cole.
The campaign has been developed by London-based advertising agency Bartle Bogle Hegarty (BBH).
Coral head of brand marketing Chris Brocklehurst said: “We know that passionate football fans will have an interest in every game during the European Championships, not just the home nation matches or the big fixtures.
“For customers who’ll be betting every day, Matchday Rewards is a campaign that rewards loyalty throughout the tournament,” Brocklehurst added.
Earlier this month, sister brand Ladbrokes launched its own Euro 2020 campaign designed to showcase the excitement football brings to fans as the live entertainment sector bounces back post-Covid.
