
Costa Bingo operator launches new bingo platform
XBingo.com first room to go live on new bingo software developed by Costa Bingo operator to target international market.

The operator of leading free bingo room Costa Bingo has launched its own bingo software, with new international brand XBingo.com the first to go live on the platform yesterday.
The platform and site managed by newly created holding company Mandalay Gaming Holdings will be used to target the international online bingo market, and will run alongside its existing UK-facing Dragonfish-powered Costa Bingo, Sing Bingo, City Bingo and Fancy Bingo brands.
Richard Skelhorn, co-founder of Mandalay Gaming Holdings, said: “We knew if we wanted to attack the international market we needed a very strong cutting-edge software product that could cope with the demands of an audience highly skilled in social media. Remember, when the online bingo industry first evolved social media was virtually unheard of, now we see it as key to our business.”
The technology was developed over the last year in partnership with a team from software company Silo 18, and beta tested by 5,000 players recruited via a highly targeted Facebook campaign.
Super affiliate-turned-operator Skelhorn (pictured) said he believed the new platform and the XBingo brand presented Mandalay with “an opportunity to make a noise in new and exciting markets.”
The operator added that it was planning to roll out a series of new gaming brands on its new international platform alongside XBingo.com.
