Danske Spil launches new sportsbook brand to compete with international rivals
SBTech-powered Youbet brand will offer cash-out and more markets to reclaim customers from the likes of bet365 and Unibet

Danske Spil has launched a new sportsbook and casino brand dubbed Youbet to help the state-owned operator compete with international sportsbooks.
Operating under youbet.dk, the brand will run independently of Danske Spil’s flagship Oddset product and have features like cash-out, partial cash-out and boosted odds.
The platform, which is powered by SBTech, will also offer around 20,000 live betting events a month, compared to approximately 12,000 at Oddset.

Danske Spil has launched a new sportsbook brand dubbed Youbet
Danske Spil CEO, Niels Erik Folmann, said: “We are going to the market with a product tailored to players who want a broad international offer and a lot of live odds.
“Players who have previously looked at international competitors to find what they were looking for can now get it from a Danish bookmaker.”
Folman said the aim was not to take customers from Oddset, but rather from the likes of bet365 Unibet and 888Sport.
“It is highly important that Youbet.dk’s mobile platform is functional and easy to navigate,” Folmann added.
Youbet.dk will also feature a casino platform, with a native Danish-speaking live casino.
“We know our players want dealers who speak Danish so it was obvious to do that,” Folmann added.
In related Danske Spil news, CFO Allan Auning-Hansen has been appointed to the executive board.
Hansen will join group CEO Susanne Mørch Koch on the board as the state-owned operator endeavours to build a strong executive team.
