Danske Spil nets Danish Football Association partnership
Operator seals three-year deal to replace Tipico from January 2017

Danske Spil has struck a three-year deal to replace Tipico as partner of the Danish Football Association (DBU) from January.
The agreement will see the operator become the official partner of Denmark’s national team and under 21 side up to and including the European Championships in 2020.
The Danish operator replaces Tipico, which agreed a two-year partnership with the DBU back in 2015, and has signed up legendary goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel as a brand ambassador.
“With the partnership with DBU and the Danish national team, we can now take new steps towards creating entertaining content – both for fans of the Danish national team and for Oddset players,”Danske Spil marketing director SÌüren Nielsen, said.
DBU commercial director Katja Moesgaard added: “We look forward to the new cooperation, create even greater support for the Danish national football team and for football in general.”
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
For the first time in 2020, the European Championships will be held across 13 venues, with Denmark set to host games from the group stage and round of 16 at the nation’s Parken Stadium.
Danske Spil recently chose Susanne MÌürch Koch to lead the company from 1 April next year following the departure of current CEO Hans Christian Madsen.
