Delaware North targets online gambling with GAMING1 joint venture
Casino operator teams up with Belgian supplier on exclusive expansion partnership aiming to offer turnkey gaming solution to US casino operators

Delaware North and GAMING1 have launched a new joint venture company targeting igaming expansion in the US through the firm’s retail casino portfolio.
The JV, known as Gamewise, will utilize GAMING1’s proprietary sports betting and casino platform for use in the US market. It will offer turnkey digital gaming solutions to licensed US operators.
As part of the partnership, Delaware North will offer its Betly.com sportsbook brand in all new markets where it operates land-based casinos on an exclusive basis.
GAMING1 will also provide its library of proprietary game content exclusively through the joint venture.
“Gamewise will bring to market a modular and flexible sports betting and casino platform that provides a seamless betting and gaming experience with superior gamification capabilities, full land-based integration, localized bet pricing, and market-leading bet acceptance ratios,” the firm said.
Delaware North owns or operates gaming venues in New York, Illinois, Florida, West Virginia, Arkansas, Ohio, and Arizona, as well as in Darwin, Australia.
Delaware North features its proprietary Lucky North Club brand at several of its casinos and also owns social casino developer Ruby Seven Studios.
Speaking about the new JV partnership, Delaware North VP of marketing Luisa Woods said the new JV would fill a gap in the market by providing regional land-based operators with turnkey solutions to expand into sports betting and online gaming.
“The solution is specifically tailored to operators who want to participate while investing in their own brand and is structured to minimize the resource impact on their core business,” Woods explained.
“We believe this is exactly what the market has been looking for.
“Both GAMING1 and Delaware North were looking for a suitable partner that matched our collective ambitions, values, and vision for market expansion in North America.
“Partnership is deeply rooted in the DNA of both companies and we are delighted to come together,” she added.
The JV partnership marks the first expansion into the US for GAMING1 which operates 42 gaming halls and casino resorts in its native Belgium, as well as an online gaming supply business working with operators in several major European markets.
“We have been monitoring the situation in North America for some time, so it is an exciting moment for everyone at GAMING1 to partner with a company of the caliber and stature of Delaware North as we enter the North American market,” GAMING1 chief business development officer Victor Araneda added.
