DraftKings expands TV broadcast presence with DISH TV deal
Boston-headquartered operator to integrate sportsbook app across DISH TV brands

DraftKings has agreed a strategic partnership with TV provider DISH TV to integrate its sportsbook app into its Hopper platform.
Under the remit of the partnership, DISH TV customers will be able to access the DraftKings app to view odds and fantasy contests, which they can then engage with directly via their TVs.
Customers can launch the integrated DraftKings TV app via voice or remote control across live, on-demand, and recorded content.
Once a bet or fantasy contest has been initiated, customers will receive a text message prompt to complete the transaction via the DraftKings app on their mobile device.
DISH TV customers will be able to place bets on NCAA basketball, NBA, and NHL via the Hopper platform.
While the DraftKings content on the DISH TV platform will be available to all customers, only those living in states with legalized sports betting will be able to place bets.
Paul Liberman, DraftKings co-founder, said: “Our deal with DISH TV and the technology behind it immerses customers within a next-generation viewership experience and reaches these fanbases in a completely new way.
“This is a unique opportunity for fans to watch games and engage with our real-money products while the technology also allows for further innovation ahead,” he added.
