DraftKings publishes rake figures to boost transparency
Operator addresses player concerns over rising hidden costs in DFS contests

DraftKings has published its commission structure in full for the first time, in a move to boost trust and transparency for its players, the firm said.
Both DraftKings and FanDuel have come under scrutiny in recent weeks after increasing the rake on some of their larger contests without alerting players.
And with some high-volume players threatening to boycott the sites, DraftKings has taken action.
The firm on Friday launched a new web page detailing its commission structure across different contest sizes.
DraftKings CRO and co-founder Matt Kalish explained: “DraftKings holds trust and transparency with our fantasy players as a core value, because we want nothing to get in the way of enjoyment of the game.
“The standards we have set have been critical in increasing the public trust in daily fantasy sports, and DraftKings team members across departments constantly explore opportunities to better inform and educate players.
“As part of that effort, beginning today, DraftKings’ full maximum contest commission structure will be available on this page. We believe this is an important step to further improve trust and transparency, removing a concern that could get in the way of fans enjoying the game.”
Players can also opt in to receive an email should the structure change.
Previously the only simple way to see rake/commission structures for tournaments was a web browser plug-in from DFS information site RotoGrinders.
