Dutch casino Krijco partners with Tain for online launch
Casino operator partners with platform supplier for 2015 launch with free-to-play version live in Q1 2014

Dutch land-based operator Krijco Casino & Leisure has partnered with gaming platform supplier Tain to launch an egaming offering in the Netherlands when the regulated market launches in 2015.
The deal will see Tain provide Krijco with a range of online gaming systems and payments services, including mobile and tablet devices, with a release planned for the first day the market opens.
“Expanding our brand presence into the online space, we needed a strong and experienced partner to work with,” Corry van Amstel, CEO of Krijco said. “These are the qualities that we found in Tain, and we look forward to building a prosperous relationship together.”
In May the Netherlands Gaming Authority (Kansspelautoriteit) published draft legislation to regulate the country’s online gambling market, expected to open on 1 January 2015. In the meantime, Krijco plans to launch a free-to-play online version during Q1 2014.
“Krijco has an ambitious plan for the online segment and Tain is ideally positioned to deliver on those plans, building on our experience from the Danish market,” Tain chief executive Christer Fahlstedt added.
Tain was recently acquired by sports betting provider Betting Promotion for approximately SEK44.3m (£4.3m) which included all the private company’s subsidiaries including Tain Ukraine, Tain Malta, Tain International and WL Services.
Over 9.5m new shares in Betting Promotion will be given to Aletico, which currently owns 10% of the company, to complete the acquisition and follows the announcement made in August that Betting Promotion and Tain were in the early stages of negotiations for the merger.
