eGR Operator Awards: Where the prizes went
A rundown of the results of the highlight of the egaming calender where Paddy Power, bet365 and Gamesys were among the big winners on the night
The 9th annual eGaming Review Operator Awards took place at The Roundhouse in London last night, bringing together operators and industry professionals to celebrate the innovation and excellence achieved across the online gaming industry in the last 12 months.
Hosted by Scottish comedian Kevin Bridges, 27 awards were dished out on an evening of glitz and glamour with 888 scoring a hat-trick of wins for casino operator, poker operator and the headline operator of the year.
Irish operator Paddy Power wasn’t to be outdone, however, as it too scooped three awards for slots operator, social marketing campaign and financial betting product of the year.
The other headline award went to William Hill chief executive Ralph Topping who claimed the prestigious outstanding contribution award for his exceptional impact on the online gambling industry.
Elsewhere, Swedish social operator Casumo bagged the gong for rising star while bet365 landed sports operator and in-play sports operator of the year after being edged out by SkyBet for mobile sports operator of the year.
Gamesys took home the prizes for customer services operator and social bingo product of the year while tombola CEO Phil Cronin left clutching the socially responsible and bingo operator of the year awards.
