Evolution Gaming pledges to “redefine live casino” with Monopoly AR game

Evolution Gaming has launched its new Monopoly-themed live casino game, incorporating the latest augmented reality (AR) technology.

Monopoly Live, which was first unveiled at ICE 2019, is described as “a unique live online variant of the hugely popular Monopoly board game”.

A game host spins the vertically mounted Monopoly wheel before players predict which segment the wheel will land on, while a virtual and animated Mr Monopoly watches on.

As well as offering players the chance to bet on the wheel stopping on a certain number, the wheel incorporates ‘CHANCE’ segments for instant cash wins and multipliers.

“Monopoly Live represents a real breakthrough in our industry and redefines live casino entertainment.

“A game like this has never been created before and it leverages some of the most advanced technology available including the use of AR.

“Our emphasis was on creating an immensely fun game for players and we are confident that it offers players a truly unique gaming experience,” he added.

Evolution reported revenue of €245.4m in 2018 following an annual increase of 38%.
