Evolution in poker and mobile launch double
Live dealer software specialist launches first poker-style game and new range of mobile gaming iPad solutions with "major worldwide betting brand" already signed up.

Live dealer software specialist Evolution has launched its first poker-style game and a new range of mobile gaming iPad solutions including live roulette with “one major worldwide betting brand” already signed up, the company has announced this morning.
The company has extended its live casino offering with the addition of Casino Hold’em, a variant of five-card Texas Hold’em, and the company’s first foray into poker.
As with its live roulette, blackjack and baccarat games, live Casino Hold’em is streamed in real time to players from tables at Evolution’s studios in Riga, Latvia, while games can be streamed from a live studio in an operator’s own land-based venue depending on specific regulatory rules.
Fredrik Bjurle, Evolution’s product director says that in the past few years Casino Hold’em has become “a hit both online and in land-based casinos worldwide”.
“Having taken great care and time over the development of a truly authentic online version of the game, we are more than happy that it meets the world-class standard of our live casino games portfolio. For players joining in the live game action on their PC and laptop, this is as real and exciting as online gaming gets,” he added.
The company has also announced that its live casino products will be available to new and existing licensees and their players on iPad with its mobile live roulette available now, live blackjack due for release in November and live baccarat to follow in January next year.
According to Evolution, “one major worldwide betting brand” has already selected its mobile live roulette for iPad as the basis for an Apple-approved App.
A number of other Evolution licensees, meanwhile, plan to offer mobile live roulette for iPad as a direct in-browser launch as soon as a player joins the game from the live casino lobby of their respective websites, it added.
The iPad solutions can also be used by licensees streaming live games from dedicated, branded tables at Evolution’s Riga studios, and for “intra-resort mobile gaming deployments” enabling visitors to play by the pool or in their hotel rooms, for example.
Developed in HTML5 and optimised for iPad, the live games feature the Evolution user interface with live chat and a choice of game views.
Bjurle added: “This development is obviously great news for iPad users, but it has much wider implications as it greatly extends the gaming floor, and playing and revenue opportunities.
“This development is all part of Evolution’s focus on delivering a flawless live gaming experience across multiple devices and channels.”
