Evolution’s Georgia operations head pivots to lead US division
Jacob Claesson swaps the European nation for North America as supplier eyes sustained expansion amid increasing demand

Evolution has appointed its incumbent head of operations in the European nation of Georgia to lead its North American division.
Jacob Claesson served as head of operations in Georgia since November 2017 and has been picked to lead the live casino giant’s operations in the US and Canada.
Prior to leading the Georgian arm of the business, Claesson was head of integration and delivery for Evolution between May 2016 and October 2018.
As head of operations for North America, Claesson will be responsible for overseeing all of Evolution’s broadcast studios throughout Canada and the US.
With existing studios already in Atlantic City, Philadelphia, Detroit and Vancouver, Claesson noted that he expected many more to be established in the coming years.
Claesson will assume the position on October 1 and will be based in Philadelphia. He will report into Evolution CEO Martin Carlesund.
Speaking to EGR, Claesson said: “I had the privilege to establish our operations in Tbilisi in the Republic of Georgia.
“Together with the team in Georgia, we have taken Evolution Georgia from nothing to over 5,000 employees in just three-and-a-half years. This makes us one of the largest employers in the country.
“Although North America is different from Georgia in many ways, it will come down to the same thing, which is making sure that we manage to keep up with the demand by hiring the right people and making sure they feel Evolution is a great company to work for.
“We are seeing a large demand for our services in North America, which means we are hiring quite aggressively across all our locations. I will need to make sure that we keep up with this demand and select the right people to join,” he added.
