Exclusive: Former Esports Entertainment Group VP plots new crypto casino launch
Bux Syed aims to challenge popular online casino brands with the planned launch of Kirin.bet as he ditches esports betting amid the astronomical rise of business costs

Former Esports Entertainment Group (EEG) VP of esports betting brand VIE Bux Syed is involved in launching a new crypto-first casino that he hopes will compete with the top brands in the space.
In collaboration with Raining Games, Syed plans to launch Kirin.bet in early Q2.
EGR understands that the new online casino will be hosted on a popular third-party tech stack and employ a turnkey solution to enable simple crypto transactions in seconds.
Speaking exclusively to EGR, Syed said that he intend to “launch a disruptor crypto brand to challenge the best”.
“Our strategy is to do everything already available at most of these online casinos, only much better,” Syed explained.
“We’re still at the earliest phase of our development cycle and working on getting our website live, but our strategy and competitive analysis has been in the works for many months.
“The team we’ve brought together at Raining Games has a love of the igaming industry and comprises individuals with decades of experience in marketing, design, product, startups, corporate culture and business operations. This passion for the industry is reflected in our player experience, and we’re confident that our players will sense it in everything we do,” he added.
Syed continued, “We’re launching with a full suite of the world’s most popular game providers and looking to initiate several exciting new features over the coming months,” referring to his work with Raining Games, where he has been employed as a business strategist for the past eight months.
Syed confirmed that Raining Games has gone on a hiring spree to support the platform’s launch, having already signed customer support agents, an affiliate manager and a digital designer, with many more positions opening soon.
Pinpointing Kirin.bet’s geographical approach, Syed said: “We are launching with a Curaçao license. From a regulatory standpoint, this provides us with some leeway. We intend to target parts of Latin America, Asia, and Europe.”
Syed’s first venture into the crypto gambling sector comes after more than a decade in Esports betting, including a nearly two-year stint at EEG.
Syed explained that his attitude toward esports betting had shifted over the last few years. The cost of attempting to launch a new esports betting business is exorbitant and rising, so it made sense to shift gears.
“Esports betting has been my focus for the last seven years,” Syed said. ” My close colleague and I both worked for Betway in 2013. We have a long history of developing esports betting products for corporate clients, but my attitude toward the industry has shifted in recent years.”
“Becoming a brand with all the infrastructure and licenses in place for a successful esports betting brand necessitates a significant investment. Marketing to an esports audience has now become extremely expensive. Sponsorships were not as expensive in 2014, but the prices have since risen to the point where a return on investment is nearly impossible. For this reason, it didn’t make sense for me to pursue the esports vertical any longer. The future is crypto-based casinos” Syed added.
