Exclusive: GVC retail MD Mark Chambers to depart
Retail MD will leave the London-listed operator in March as COO Shay Segev picks up retail duties

GVC managing director of retail Mark Chambers will leave the London-listed operator in March 2020, EGR Intel has learned.
Chambers was in the role for less than seven months, having been promoted to MD of retail in May 2019 following the departures of former Ladbrokes Coral COO Andy Hornby and former UK digital MD Mark Kemp.
The departure was announced in an email to staff this week, seen by EGR, where CEO Kenny Alexander said: “While Mark’s departure is a real loss, we have a strong management team at GVC and I’m taking this opportunity to make some changes.”
GVC COO Shay Segev has now been given overall responsibility for GVC’s retail operations in the UK, Ireland, Belgium and Italy.
Alexander added: “Retail is at the very heart of our business and has a fantastic future as part of GVC.
“We’re investing heavily from both a retail technology and people perspective, to ensure we continue to win in the market, and this is a very exciting time for our future plans.”
Andy Hicks, retail operations and development director at Ladbrokes Coral, has also been promoted to retail MD for the UK and Ireland as part of the reshuffle, reporting into Segev.
