Exclusive: Stoiximan to adopt new corporate identity in 2020
EGR understands the Greek betting giant will unveil a new corporate moniker in H1 of next year

Greek betting operator Stoiximan is planning to adopt a new corporate umbrella brand name early next year, EGR Intel can reveal.
Stoiximan is currently one of the largest online betting firms in Greece and Cyprus and has also entered international markets including Romania, Germany and Portugal via its Betano brand.
Betano was launched because the word Stoiximan – which means Betman when translated from Greek into English – was not easy to pronounce for English-speaking customers in global territories.
The operator now intends to knit Stoiximan and Betano together under a new corporate moniker – in a similar vein to Paddy Power Betfair when it began trading as Flutter Entertainment in May.
“Right now, we are in a situation that many of our peers have been in before,” said Stoiximan CEO George Daskalakis.
“We started as one brand but now have two brands, and we are in the process of establishing our own umbrella that we expect to roll it out in the first half of next year,” he added.
Stoiximan launched its Betano brand in Portugal from a new Lisbon office in May and won Mobile Operator of the Year at the 2019 EGR Operator Awards.
