GAMESYS has signed a deal to launch a bingo product for UK radio station Heart, EGRmagazine.com can reveal exclusively.
Heart, also known as Heart FM and Heart Radio, is a network of local radio stations in central & southern England and north Wales owned and operated by Global Radio, the UK’s biggest radio broadcaster.
Gamesys runs the Jackpotjoy brand and in 2008 re-launched two online bingo brands for the News International’s UK tabloid newspapers, Sun Bingo and News of the World Bingo. As reported on EGRmagazine.com earlier, Gamesys is also running UK online bingo for Harrah’s Interactive Entertainment (HIE)’s CAESARS Bingo Online launched yesterday.
Discussing the Heart deal, Gamesys chief operating officer Lee Fenton said: “This fits with Gamesys’ strategy, which is to have a few, large partners rather than a rash of smaller ones. We now run bingo for Europe’s largest tabloid newspapers, the UK’s largest radio station and the world’s largest casino.”
In other bingo news this week, Italy’s Administrative Court of Appeal has ordered the temporary suspension of the Administrative Court of Lazio’s decision to reverse online bingo regulation yesterday, meaning online operators can continue to offer the game in that country, and Mecca Bingo revealed it is to launch a Britain’s Got Talent bingo site.
