Fanatics Betting & Gaming adds ex-Betfred head as senior trading director
Andrew McLauchlan links up with apparel giant ahead of sportsbook launch after eight years with Betfred

Fanatics Betting & Gaming has named former Betfred and Betfair head Andrew McLauchlan as its new senior director of football.
McLauchlan joins the firm as it continues to build out its senior team ahead of a planned January 2023 launch of its sportsbook into 15 states.
McLauchlan joins Fanatics after spending eight years with Betfred, most recently as head of trading for Betfred USA in Las Vegas.
He originally joined the Warrington-based bookmaker in November 2014 as head of in-play and sports product development.
McLauchlan also had a spell with Betfair prior to joining Betfred which saw him join the betting exchange in March 2012 as a senior trader before becoming head of sports trading in March 2012.
McLauchlan will continue to be based in Las Vegas in his new role with Fanatics, where he will lead the trading team ahead of its launch.
Speaking on his shift to Fanatics, McLauchlan reflected on his time with Betfred before championing the nascent Fanatics team.
He said: “After an amazing eight years at Betfred, the last three of which have been spent helping build the Betfred Sports US product, it’s time for a new challenge. So many of you at Betfred may no longer be my colleagues but you’ll continue to be friends.
“Now onto the next chapter at Fanatics Betting & Gaming. Every single person I’ve met so far at the organisation has been seriously impressive. I can’t wait to get started and I’m thankful for the opportunity to join such a strong team,” he added.
