Fanatics eyeing second state launch with Tennessee beta testing
Aspiring sportsbook operator lifts lid on sports betting app amid drive to expand into Volunteer State

Fanatics has triggered a period of beta testing of its Fanatics sportsbook application in Tennessee ahead of a potential launch in the Volunteer State.
Fanatics Betting and Gaming received approval from the Tennessee Sports Wagering Advisory Council to go online with the Fanatics Sportsbook on March 1; however the firm is keen to ensure any potential kinks in its sportsbook app are ironed out before launching officially.
In a statement, a spokesperson for Fanatics summarized the firm’s decision to go into testing first.
“We started this journey with the goal of developing the best product and experience for sports fans,” the spokesperson said.
“Today, in Tennessee, we are giving a small group of customers access to our beta product to help us do just that. We are incredibly excited to work with our customers, get their feedback, and deliver the product that sports fans deserve for our public launch later this year,” they added.
A Tennessee launch would increase Fanatics’ number of operational US states to two, following the global sports merchandizers first foray into sports betting in Maryland in January.

The sportsbook operator partnered with the Washington Commanders to debut the sportsbook at the NFL team’s home at the FedExField, with the Commanders serving as the market-access partner for the firm.
Fanatics has previously applied to expand into Massachusetts and has been deemed a suitable operator by the Massachusetts Gaming Commission (MGC) following an exhaustive review process in which it met with the MGC several times.
Despite receiving this approval and all necessary clearances, Fanatics has indicated it will not launch on March 10 with the rest of the market, instead opting to launch in May.
At a wider level, the operator has ambitions to launch in as many as 15 US states by the time of the next NFL season.
Fanatics has also underlined its commitment to integrity in sports betting by joining the International Betting Integrity Association (IBIA), the leading global voice on integrity for the licensed betting industry.
