FanDuel clinches Boston Bruins sportsbook partnership
Massachusetts debutant nets marketing-related assets and IP as part of multi-year deal

FanDuel has confirmed the agreement of a multi-year deal to become the official sports betting partner of Massachusetts-based ice hockey team the Boston Bruins.
Under the terms of the deal, FanDuel will be permitted to use the Boston Bruins’ marks. Additionally, FanDuel will have signage both on dasher boards inside the TD Garden as well as the NHL’s new digitally enhanced dasher boards.
The two will also partner on digital and social media content including homepage takeovers and other content on Bruins and FanDuel social channels.
FanDuel chief commercial officer Mike Raffensperger welcomed the Bruins partnership, highlighting the potential value-add for the US market leader as it looks to gain market share in the state.
“Massachusetts is home to some of the most passionate fan bases across the country and we’re excited to enhance their viewing experience with the launch of the FanDuel Sportsbook app,” Raffensperger said.
“Bruins fans are the true embodiment of that passion and we look forward to supporting the team this season and beyond,” he added.
The partnership comes as online sports betting kicks off in Massachusetts following the earlier launch of retail sportsbooks in the Commonwealth in January.
FanDuel was awarded a license to operate online sportsbooks in the state by the Massachusetts Gaming Commission, with the launch marking the firm’s 19th operational sports betting state.
FanDuel is licensed in Arizona, Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia, and Wyoming.
