Flutter Entertainment secures ex-RBS director as chief people and ops officer

Flutter Entertainment has appointed former RBS director Lisa Sewell as the firm’s new chief people and operations officer for its UK and Ireland division.

Sewell joins the London-listed operator from multinational law firm Dentons, where she served as UK and Middle East managing director from June 2018 until July 2022.

Prior to moving into law, Sewell spent three years with RBS in London, initially as chief of staff, head of simplification and COO of capital resolution.

In January 2017 she was promoted to director of shared operations, leading operational hubs in the UK, India and Poland.

In the early stages of her career, Sewell spent time with the now defunct telecoms firm Cable & Wireless and banking giant Lehman Brothers.

In her role as chief people and operations officer at Flutter, she will oversee the firm’s UK and Ireland-facing brands across HR and ops.

Sewell said: “I’m happy to share that I’ve started a new position as chief people and operations officer at Flutter Entertainment.

“[I’m] moving from one fantastic firm and team to another. Thank you Dentons for four great years and thank you Flutter for such a warm welcome,” she added.

Last month, Flutter appointed telecoms stalwart Alex Cassettari as the operator’s new head of procurement services.
