Former William Hill compliance lead joins BetVictor
Dan Marsden links up with Gibraltar-headquartered operator in head of business compliance role

BetVictor has recruited former William Hill head of regulatory compliance Dan Marsden as its new head of business compliance.
Marsden spent six years at Hills, including three years in the head of regulatory compliance position, where he was responsible for overseeing the firm’s reporting, compliance and regulatory processes.
He joined William Hill in 2015 in a compliance officer role, before advancing to compliance manager in 2016, working out of the firm’s Gibraltar office.
Marsden also spent seven years with Barclays Bank in a number of analysis and account management roles.
Marsden’s departure from Hills follows Caesars Entertainment’s £2.9bn takeover of the UK bookmaker, which concluded last week.
Marsden will be based at BetVictor’s Gibraltar office in his new role and will fulfill a similar role to the one he performed at Hills.
BetVictor is currently preparing to launch operations in the newly regulated German sports betting market when it goes live in July.
The operator will power the Bild Bet brand having secured a partnership with German media heavyweight Bild and its parent company Axel Springer SE.
