Isaac Ward to join William Hill's Australian business as commercial director in January

Former head of egaming at Paddy Power Isaac Ward has joined William Hill subsidiary Tom Waterhouse as commercial director, eGaming Review can exclusively reveal.
Ward, who left his role at the Irish operator in September after three years at the firm, is set to take up the position in Australia in late January and will report directly to Tom Waterhouse.
Speaking with eGR, Ward said he was looking forward to starting his new Sydney-based role, in which he will run general business operations, and described the company has having “lots of potential for growth”.
William Hill completed the acquisition of Australian online bookmaker Tom Waterhouse, first revealed by eGR, for an initial fee of AU$34m (£20m) in August.
“This is a very good business with excellent prospects,” said William Hill CEO Ralph Topping of the Tom Waterhouse purchase following its Q3 interim management statement.
“We’re in the process of turning it from a good business into a great business,” he added.
Ward joined Paddys in 2010 as games P&L manager before becoming head of egaming two years’ later. He previously completed a stint at Sportingbet where he held roles including head of acquisition and head of casino and games.
Ward was one of a number of departures from Paddy Power in September with head of bingo Oonagh Flanagan having left to join Gala Coral as head of marketing for bingo while head of operations William Reeve also departed after completing one year at the operator.
