Former UB man Leggett heading up Amaya's online arm
Paul Leggett takes responsibility for poker network and other egaming verticals; Peter Bertilsson remains in consultancy role

Amaya Gaming has named Paul Leggett , former chief operating officer of Ultimate Bet owner Tokwiro Enterprises, as its head of online, overseeing the Ongame poker network and its other online gaming brands.
He takes over the responsibilities of Peter Bertilsson, former managing director of Ongame Services, who remains within the Amaya group in a consultancy role. A spokesman for Amaya told eGaming Review Leggett is now in charge of the online division and “responsible for all Amaya’s online activities”.
“Martin Lerby, director of sales and marketing, retains his current role at the former bwin.party-owned company. And Fredrik Kjell, who served as head of poker for Ongame, also remains with the business, as director of product with responsibility for all of Amaya’s online products.”
Amaya acquired the Ongame network last October for up to 25m after an earlier approach from Shuffle Master collapsed amid concerns regarding “deteriorating” business conditions in Europe.
The Canadian-listed provider had already boosted its online portfolio with the acquisitions of Chartwell and CryptoLogic, while this year has seen the firm make changes to the Ongame network with the introduction of fast-fold offering Strobe and the launch of its Instant Rewards system.
