Former Unibet Australia head departs
Patrik Andersson plans to leave for the US after five years working at the Stockholm-listed operator

Patrik Andersson, who stood down as head of Unibet Australia in January, is set to leave the firm to relocate his family to the US, eGaming Review has learned.
Andersson, who has an American wife, was appointed general manager of the operator’s Australia arm in June 2013 but has more recently been working on a number of new projects for the company.
“I’ve worked for Unibet over five years now and have been lucky to work across both products, channels, strategy, marketing and now latest as GM for Unibet Australia,” Andersson told eGR.
“But at this point we have decided to put our family first which is why we will move to Chicago, which is where my wife is from.
“I will miss all the passionate people in Unibet who managed to transform the business, and take it from a share price of SEK130 to over SEK500 today but moving to Chicago will be a great adventure for me and I will start looking for a new position over the next couple of months,” he added.
Andersson originally joined the operator in April 2010 as strategy implementation manager before being named mobile product owner in 2011 and later head of marketing and sales based in Unibet’s Sydney office.
Peter Staunton succeeded Andersson as Australia GM at the start of the year.
