FTP administrator addresses affiliate concerns
Updates follow Poker Players Alliance letter to Garden City Group over missing funds and affiliate payments
Full Tilt Poker (FTP) claims administrator Garden City Group (GCG) has updated the remissions process in order to address several concerns raised by the Poker Players Alliance (PPA)
In a letter dated 10 October, PPA executive director John Pappas issued 14 questions to GCG including doubts regarding definitions of an affiliate and withdrawals made in the days leading up to Black Friday.
Some players have reported that withdrawals made in these days were never completed and they now lack sufficient proof to include the failed withdrawals in the claims procedure.
GCG updated the FAQ section of its fulltiltpokerclaims.com website on Friday, addressing some of the concerns raised and informing players on what to do in cases involving balance discrepancies.
The biggest clarification came in regards to affiliate claims, with FTP having maintained various relationships with different players and some arguing against their “affiliate status”.
It was previously revealed that certain stakeholders in Full Tilt, including past or present employees and affiliates, were to be excluded from the remissions process.
GCG has now stated that FTP affiliates will be allowed to submit petitions for remission, but only to recover account balances that do not relate to their affiliate status as long as they meet the eligibility criteria.
GCG has also confirmed it is to email all affiliates on record to provide further instructions and provide login credentials for online filing, with the filing process due to expire on 15 November.
