Full Tilt has second highest traffic after 24 hours
FTP only below owner PokerStars in H2 Gambling Capital's online poker traffic report.

After just one day back in business, Full Tilt Poker has achieved the second highest online poker traffic, with only its owner PokerStars ahead in the rankings.
As a result of PokerStars’ re-launch at 12pm GMT on Wednesday, Stars’ liquidity level is expected to drop by around 5,000 players, according to H2 Gambling Capital.
In its first 24 hours, Full Tilt achieved a peak of 14,378 ring game players, compared to Stars’ 29,046. FTP also recorded an average of 8,686 ring game players, in comparison to Stars’ 18,350.
H2 Gambling Capital director Joel Keeble said: “For the first 24 hours following the re-launch of Full Tilt there was more volatility in player numbers, especially in the initial hours, than had been seen previously. At this stage it looks like the majority of players have migrated from PokerStars, with their expected liquidity levels dropping by circa 5,000.
“Access to balances have been an initial attraction. It may well be that liquidity levels drop going forward. However, as players know Full Tilt it is now backed by PokerStars, H2 would expect much of this to be retained,” he added.
New owners PokerStars, under its Isle of Man Rational Group subsidiary, re-opened FTP’s dot.com doors to players following the acquisition of its former rival after it settled a civil case with the Department of Justice in July this year following the fallout of Black Friday in April 2011.
One year on, PokerStars began settlement negotiations with US authorities that would also include paying back US and rest of the world players as well as acquiring former number two poker site FTP for a total sum of US$731m.
Less than three months later, on 31 July this year, PokerStars’ long-awaited takeover of Full Tilt Poker was given the green light after the $731m deal was approved by the DoJ in New York.
The re-launch marks the first time since June 2011 that players have been able to download and play on the FTP client. Full Tilt’s homepage makes reference to the Isle of Man egaming licence awarded to the operator earlier this month.
