FunFair adds card payments to blockchain gaming platform
Dublin-headquartered firm looking to expand audience reach by offering traditional fiat currencies

Blockchain gaming operator FunFair has added card payments to its offering after partnering with cryptocurrency payment processor MoonPay.
Despite being a blockchain and crypto-led platform, FunFair is adding fiat currency card payment in an effort to bring these technologies to a wider audience.
In a statement, Isle of Man-licensed FunFair said: “True to the promise of bringing blockchain gaming technology to the masses, FunFair is opening up a new audience and driving further adoption with this significant new feature.”
FunFair has also removed blockchain network fees with players now playing on the platform using only FunFair’s own FUN token and users no longer need ethereum to play.
This decision, FunFair noted, would “significantly simplify the onboarding and gameplay process by reducing friction and complexity”.
Fred Kessler, FunFair CPO, said: “Adding card payments is a major milestone for FunFair in our mission to bring blockchain gaming to the masses. We’re focusing all our efforts on payments and marketing to improve the customer journey and adoption to our blockchain gaming platform.”
