
Gala Bingo signs Channel 4 sponsorship deal
Bingo operator adds Channel 4 deal to television sponsorship portfolio which already includes ITV and Channel 5


Gala Bingo has signed a new media deal with British broadcaster Channel 4, meaning the operator now sponsors all three commercial terrestrial channels in the UK.
The sponsorship will see the online bingo operator appear on the channel every weekday between 2pm and 6pm, with the deal running throughout 2018.
Gala Bingo adverts will appear during daytime TV shows such as Countdown, Fifteen to One and Star Boot Sale.
PR manager at GalaBingo.com Karina Adrian said: “By sponsoring afternoons on 4, we are able to put our brand in front of both new and existing customers and create a significant level of awareness.”
The deal with Channel 4 expands the bingo operator’s TV advertising portfolio, which includes the recently extended main sponsorship of ITV gameshow, The Chase.
The bingo brand will also continue to serve as gaming partner of ITV soaps Coronation Street and Emmerdale, having recently extended a partnership which dates back to 2014.
Gala Bingo will advertise on all three of the commercial terrestrial channels in the UK, having signed a similar deal with Channel 5 in November 2017.
Gala Bingo posted a 10% rise in revenues in H2, putting it broadly in line with market leader Jackpotjoy.
