Gala Coral hires new mobile head
David Fuke joins as head of mobile and web from bwin.party following departure of Robert Fell

Gala Coral has appointed bwin.party’s former head of product David Fuke as its new head of mobile and web following the recent departure of Robert Fell.
Fell left Gala Coral earlier this summer to pursue opportunities outside of the gaming industry after 18 months at the firm, more recently as the operator’s head of mobile and web, having joined from Paddy Power in early 2014.
His replacement Fuke joins Gala Coral following a six-year stint at bwin.party, where he had been responsible for the operator’s product line across its combined casino, games and bingo division.
Fuke previously held a number of roles at Ladbrokes including general games manager and head of sportsbook development before becoming product development manager at Endemol, where he maintained key relationships with the likes of Gala Coral, Paddy Power and William Hill.
The new recruit will lead the development of Gala Coral’s desktop and mobile products and report directly into product and gaming development director Itay Fisher.
The news comes amid a period of uncertainty at both Gala Coral and potential merger partner Ladbrokes, as they continue to discuss their proposed £2.3bn combination with the UK Competition and Markets Authority.
Both Gala Coral chief executive Carl Leaver and Ladbrokes CEO Jim Mullen are confident of gaining the required regulatory go-ahead for a union which would create an online gaming giant with revenues in excess of £400m.
Gala Coral is due to release its Q3 trading results on Thursday.
