Gamban the first gambling blocking technology to receive B Corporation certification
Accreditation from not-for-profit organisation awarded to those boasting high social, legal and environmental standards

Gamban, the tool which bars access to igaming across customers’ devices, has become the first gambling blocking software to receive B Corporation certification from B Lab UK.
Certification from B Lab, the not-for-profit behind the BCorp movement, means Gamban has met rigorous social and environmental standards that represent a commitment to targets outside of shareholder profit.
To achieve certification, applicants have to reach a benchmark score of 80 or above while providing evidence of socially and environmentally responsible practices relating to energy supplies, waste and water use, worker compensation, diversity and corporate transparency.
Gamban is now part of a B Corp community of over 45,000 businesses worldwide. There are more than 1,000 businesses in the UK, including The Guardian, innocent, Patagonia, The Body Shop and Abel & Cole.
Chris Turner, executive director of B Lab UK, said: “We are delighted to welcome Gamban to the B Corp community. This is a movement of companies who are committed to changing how the business operates and believe business really can be a force for good.
“We know that Gamban are going to be a fantastic addition to the community and will continue driving the conversation forward.”
He added: “Welcoming Gamban is an exciting moment because they have an opportunity to lead the way within the responsible gambling industry. We and the rest of the B Corp community are really pleased to support Gamban in paving the way for a new way of doing things”.
Following the news, Gamban co-founder Matt Zarb-Cousin tweeted: “Extremely proud Gamban has been awarded B Corp certification, recognising our drive for positive societal impact.”
Elsewhere, Gamban recently signed a partnership with Kindred Group, which became the first operator to offer French customers the software via its Unibet brand.
