GameAccount takes Paddys deal into Italy
Multi-year renewal of agreement will now cover extend existing services into the regulated market.

Skill games software provider GameAccount Network has extended its commercial partnership with Paddy Power to cover the regulated Italian market.
The multi-year extension of the deal – originally signed in 2004 – follows the extension of another Italian-facing partnership with Snai in March of this year.
Under the terms of the deal GameAccount, which also provides software for casino games and mobile apps, will extend its provision of gaming software services for Paddy Power into the Italian market, where it already has an AAMS-certified system in place.
GameAccount Network CEO Dermot Smurfit (pictured) said: “As one of the first gaming software suppliers that moved into the Italian regulated gaming market in 2008 we have developed the specialist experience, expertise and technical functionality required to serve Italian operators from our hardware platform located in Italy.”
Paddy Power’s Italian MD Giovanna D’Esposito said of the deal “Based on our existing relationship, their commitment to Italy and wide games portfolio GameAccount was chosen by Paddy Power as one of our partners to build and position our Italian gaming business to exploit anticipated opportunities created by further gaming regulation.”
Following last year’s launch of cash poker and casino in Italy, the country’s regulatory authority AAMS is set to expand the variety of products on offer with an exchange betting decree issued in January and further decrees under consideration over the course of 2012.
