Gaming Realms claims “world-first” with new skill-based game
Operator says Magic Mine is the first-ever game to offer “true skill-based” online gambling

Gaming Realms has launched a new in-house developed product the operator claims is the “world’s first” skill-based online gambling game.
The AIM-listed firm’s Magic Mine game will sit alongside other Slingo games, including Slingo Riches and Slingo Extreme, with similar rules and gameplay to its Match 3 product.
The game took approximately three years to develop, due to complexity of building artificial intelligence which could teach itself to play the game.
And according to the company, Magic Mine is the first skill-based gambling game not to dress up a casual game format to deliver a ‘random’ selection to the player.
Gaming Realms CEO, Patrick Southon, said the game was “an important investment” as the company “looks to broaden [its] games portfolio offering and deliver the types of games people wish to play.”
“We believe skill-based games will open up a new segment, which will be attractive to new players as well as partners wishing to license our skill-based format.”
