Gaming Realms establishes Alderney RMG hub
AIM-listed gaming group to open office next Monday with new products expected early next year

Gaming Realms is to establish a new Alderney office which the AIM-listed firm says will become its “real-money gambling hub”, eGaming Review has learned.
The new office, which opens on Monday, will be headed-up by the gaming operator’s former head of products and operations Paul Gielbert and follows Gaming Realms recently being awarding an Alderney egaming licence.
Gielbert has been tasked with initially building a team of around six staff by December to fill roles including customer services, marketing and compliance.
“By the end of 2015 we expect to have between 10 and 15 people there and we want it to be the operations hub for the real-money gambling for the group,” Gaming Realms licensing director, James Harrison, told eGR.
“It will determine the strategy of where we take our real-money gambling products forward and the aim is to launch new products and iterate on existing offerings next year,” he added.
Harrison also confirmed that Bear Group is shortly to apply for a UK licence in order to qualify for continuation rights under the UK Gambling Commission’s transitional arrangements for implementation of the new Gambling (Licensing and Advertising) Act 2014.
In July Gaming Realms received a Category 1 and Category 2 egaming licence by the Alderney Gambling Control Commission following an application process which lasted approximately three months following a regulatory assessment of its software and operations.
Last month the operator acquired Bingoport owner Blueburra Holdings for £10.5m including £5m in cash and shares with the remaining amount to be paid over the next three years.
eGR recently revealed Gaming Realms’ plans to relaunch its flagship app Bingo Godz on mobile after describing mobile bingo development as being “harder than anticipated”.
