GAMSTOP appoints Buzz Bingo compliance officer as new board director

UK self-exclusion scheme provider GAMSTOP has appointed Simon Reynolds as a non-executive director.

Boasting more than 30 years of compliance and regulatory affairs experience within the gambling industry, Reynolds currently serves as chief compliance officer at Buzz Bingo.

Prior to that, he worked as UK compliance director for GVC as it was then known following a near 25-year spell with Gala Coral Group.

In his new role, Reynolds takes the place of Roger Parkes as the only industry-focused non-executive director on GAMSTOP’s five-strong board.

He will therefore provide insight and overview from the operators’ perspective, all of which must integrate with the GAMSTOP scheme as part of the Gambling Commission’s licensing conditions.

“We are delighted that Simon has agreed to join the board and look forward to working with him in the future,” said Jenny Watson, chair of GAMSTOP.

“We will always put the consumer at the heart of our service but it is important for us to also hear from operators and I know Simon will bring welcome insight to our discussions,” Watson added.

Reynolds said his connections with gaming regulators across the UK, Gibraltar and Alderney would benefit GAMSTOP, along with his ability to translate and adapt licensing and legislative requirements into commercial opportunities.
