
Genius Sports triggers hiring spree at Vilnius tech hub
Technology provider recruiting for multiple roles to grow competition management system across football and basketball


Genius Sports has launched a new hiring programme to recruit top tech talent to its office in Vilnius, Lithuania.
The business is actively hiring in several new positions to drive the development of a new digital competition management system for world football.
It is also seeking staff to enhance its basketball data solutions and to build new solutions for engaging sports fans globally.
Roles on offer include frontend developer for football competition management and PHP developer for basketball solutions.

Matthew Cowling, head of product innovation at Genius Sports, said: “The products that our team here in Vilnius develop and implement every day are relied upon by sports in over 150 countries worldwide.
“Amid the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic, we’re excited that Genius Sports’ operations in Vilnius are continuing to expand and look forward to welcoming several more outstanding people to our team,” he added.
Since opening in 2015, the Vilnius office has been central to driving growth at the sports data, technology and streaming provider.
Around 100 employees are currently based in the Vilnius hub, with plans to grow that headcount by up to a third already well underway.
The team has built live data solutions in partnership with the International Basketball Association (FIBA), the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and more than 500 other sports organisations globally.
