
Genius Sports unveils in-play bet builder product
Supplier giant launches new tech ahead of this winter’s World Cup as it looks to ramp up bettor engagement for clients


Genius Sports has launched a new in-play ‘MultiBet’ product that will allow customers to create in-play, same-game accumulators.
The new product, launched ahead of the upcoming World Cup in Qatar, aims to further engage mobile customers during the month-long tournament.
In-play MultiBet will also be available during matches across the NFL, English Premier League, Mexico’s Liga MX, and dozens of FIBA basketball and FIVB volleyball leagues worldwide for Genius Sports’ sportsbook partners.
Genius Sports said the “bespoke” bets, powered by AI-powered live odds based on the group’s live trading services, would allow customers greater control over their wagers and improve margins for operator partners.
Bet builders, otherwise referred to as same-game parlays in North America, are continuing to grow in popularity both in the US and Europe.
Jack Davison, Genius Sports CCO, said: “Combining same game parlays with the unstoppable growth of in-play betting is a breakthrough innovation for us and our partners.
“Starting with the biggest sports event of the year, the FIFA World Cup, In-play MultiBet will enable our partners to unlock bigger margins and drive engagement between key match events and breaks,” he added.
Earlier this week, Paddy Power launched a new betting tip function centred around bet builders.
The bet build stat packs feature detailed graphics on each team ahead of their Premier League fixtures and was kickstarted this weekend.
