Genting renews Coventry Blaze sponsorship deal
Ice hockey team welcomes casino brand as headline sponsor for a sixth consecutive season
Genting Casino has renewed its partnership with Coventry Blaze to become the ice hockey team’s title sponsor for a sixth consecutive season.
The casino operator first initiated the club’s sponsorship in 2012 and as part of the deal will also offer discounts at its in-house casino to Blaze season ticket holders.
“The link we have with the club has grown year on year and the relationship between our two organisations fits so well,” Tracey Gough, Genting Casino, Skydome Coventry general manager, said.
Blaze chairman Andy Buxton, added: “We are delighted that Genting Casino have extended their commitment to us for a sixth season. They love the partnership and we are very proud to carry their name as our title sponsor.”
Last year, Genting UK president, Paul Willcock, announced a major restructuring of the business as part of the company’s strategy to develop an improved multi-channel offering.
Mark Sergeant, the former managing director of Gala Casinos, was appointed as managing director of the provincial casino estate and given responsibility for the operator’s online business – Genting Alderney.
