German state lottery launches mobile-optimised website
IT service provider adesso AG expands LOTTO Thüringen internet portal to in response to demand from younger customers
German state lottery provider LOTTO Thüringen has expanded its internet portal to include a mobile-optimised website to cater to its growing number of younger smartphone users.
IT service provider adesso AG has developed the expansion, which will allow players in the German state of Thuringia to purchase lottery tickets using their mobile devices more easily.
The new mobile website implements a newly installed HTML channel that uses similar functions and designs found on the operator’s internet site, and mobile users will be automatically forwarded onto the new mobile site.
Pre-registered users will be allowed to access existing games including Eurojackpot, KENO and GlücksSpirale, as well as additional games such as Spiel77, Super6 and plus 5, all of which have been optimised for mobile devices.
LOTTO Thüringen managing director Jörg Schwäblein said that the new mobile site launch was in response to its younger target audience and made use of the games already available on its existing website.
“They value increased independence and are used to being able to access an entire range of sites no matter where they are,” Schwäblein said of his younger customers.
“They have embraced our new range of services and we have received constant positive feedback from our customers so far.”
