GiG bolsters product suite with Playtech’s iPoker integration
Oslo-listed supplier to tap into iPoker’s growing player pool following MPN’s recent closure

Gaming Innovation Group (GiG) has integrated the iPoker poker platform from Playtech into its digital product offering.
The deal allows GiG customers to gain access to one of the world’s largest poker networks boasting more than 35,000 players and a platform available via HTML5, iOS and Android.
Playtech’s poker platform has received a commercial boost of late after signing a number of brands, or ‘skins’, from Microgaming’s network, MPN, which closed its doors on 19 May after 17 years in operation.
In a trading and Covid-19 update on 20 May, Playtech revealed the poker side of the business had seen a “significant increase in activity and had added several major operators to its network so far in 2020”.
Ben Clemes, chief commercial officer of GiG, commented: “We are excited to have partnered with Playtech in entering the poker betting vertical.
“The integration of Playtech’s iPoker product with our igaming platform allows us to further extend our betting options and enables our partners to offer a strong poker betting player experience.”
Shimon Akad, chief operating officer of Playtech, said: “Having invested heavily in our new poker web client, in addition to our native poker app and popular downloadable desktop poker client, together Playtech and GiG can offer operators access to an exceptionally flexible platform as well as an ever-growing network.”
Earlier this month, GiG reported flat Q1 2020 revenue amid a return to growth for the first time in five quarters.
