GIG earns sports betting supplier licence
First Gaming Innovation Group-powered betting site, Wetten.com, to go live this week

Gaming Innovation Group (GIG) subsidiary BettingCloud has earned a Class 4 remote gaming licence from the Malta Gaming Authority (MGA), allowing it to provide sports betting products to licensed operators.
The first operator to be launched on the BettingCloud licence will be Germany-facing site Wetten.com, which signed a platform agreement with GIG’s subsidiary iGamingCloud earlier this year.
Wetten is looking to soft launch this week, with a full commercial launch expected early Q1 2017.
”We have reached a major milestone as we are now a fully licensed B2B gaming service provider for the sportsbetting vertical,” said GIG chief executive Robin Reed.
“GIG is continuing to branch out in the iGaming value chain and is now a fully-fledged gaming service provider.”
GIG is also working to develop a proprietary odds model through another subsidiary, OddsModel AS, which will then be integrated onto BettingCloud to provide a full suite of sportsbook management tools, including odds feeds, content services, risk management and trading tools
“Within the next year, these efforts will fully come into fruition and it will greatly benefit the company and our clients”, added Reed.
