
GIG plots game development arm launch
Operator adds in-house casino game studio to its growing portfolio of B2B services


Gaming Innovation Group has revealed plans to launch an in-house casino game development arm to add to its growing B2B offering.
Dubbed GIG Games, the studio will develop an estimated six to eight games by Q4 2018, and each will be sold at separate contracts on revenue share agreements to GIG brands and external operators.
A statement by the operator said: “GIG Games has already made significant technological progress and currently has 3 games under development which will be launched in Q3 2018.”
Elsewhere, the firm is offering an aggregator solution to its partnering operators to enable an immediate integration with all GIG third-party solutions.
GIG CEO Robin Reed commented: “Through development, growth and integration of GIG’s five business areas, the Company capture more of the industry profits and achieve cost and business synergies.
“The development of GIG Games is an important part of this strategy.”
The Oslo-listed firm recently reported Q3 B2B revenues of €11.6m, up 171% year-on-year, while B2C revenues reached €21.9m, up 93% from Q3 2016.
