Greece launches second phase of lottery tender
Three bidders set to submit their final binding offers for consideration.

The Hellenic Republic Asset Development Fund (HRADF) has launched the second phase of the tender process for the 12-year Greek national lottery contract.
All three of the initial bidders: Austrian Lotteries, a consortium comprising Sisal, Damco Energy and Damlot, and a separate consortium comprising OPAP, Lottomatica, Scientific Games and Intralot, progressed through to the second stage in January.
They are now all required to submit binding final offers “as soon as possible” according to a statement from the HRADF, before the exclusive 12-year operating contract is awarded.
Costas Mitropoulos, chief executive of the HRADF, said: “It is encouraging that six leading gaming players are participating in the tender for the State Lotteries.”
He added that: “The international tender will continue speedily and with absolute commitment to the strictest transparency and fairness principles.”
